Media Center
The Aspen Ridge Media Center has a collection of approximately 18,500 books, videotapes, and audiotapes and supports the curriculum of our school through our selection of books, periodicals, and audio-visual materials. We support the Middle School’s Reading Renaissance program with approximately 4200 Accelerated Reader tests. Of those tests, the media center has books for nearly 90% of the titles.
The Aspen Ridge Media Center is open from 7:45-3:30. Students can come to the library for extra studying and reading before school from 7:45-8:15. Our media center has a growing professional library available to teachers, student teachers, and NMU students who have been using our school for one of their classroom sites. Of the 40 periodicals that are available in our media center, many of them are professional magazines and directly support our curriculum. Volunteers are an important part of our media center.
